This was one of the restaurants recommended by the tourist bureau for lunch as part of a touristic steam train trip between Limoges and Eymoutiers. To be sure of a place, we reserved well ahead. But when we got there there we had to wait for a table. The restaurant was very crowded, including a table of 14 with fellow train riders. All in all this was one of our worst French dining experiences. We were not warmly greeted when we arrived. The service was incredibly slow. It was a broiling hot day and they didn't bother to keep table supplied with water. The pichets for water and wine, glasses, and silverware were not especially clean. The food was so-so, and the dessert (blanc-mange) left a bad taste in our mouths. And they didn't offer a tisane after the meal, only tea or coffee. Not a place to visit again.
