As part of a Groupon visit to the Château des Reynats, we had a lovely dinner at this bistro. Ed started with a tarte crumble with eggplant and big capers. I started with Vinaigrette d’asperges vertes menthe-citron, which I thought would be salad-like, but turned out to be a creamy and delicious soup.
For the main, Ed had confit de canard and I had grilled tuna with a soy-sesame sauce. Both were good, but served without side dishes except a bowl of very creamy mashed potatoes.
For wine we enjoyed a demi of Bourgeuil Amirault, a Loire wine suggested by the waiter, which went very well with all parts of the meal.
For afters, Ed had the chocolate mousse, while I had a cheese plate. We shared.
All was good and portions were nice so that we were full but not stuffed at the end of the meal. Very enjoyable.
